BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

Smoothies are a great breakfast option, especially during the warm summer months. A cool, refreshing, nutritious start to your day.

This smoothie is a cross between smoothie and oatmeal, so absolutely perfect for breakfast. Blueberries, oats, milk and yogurt blended into a cool sip-able meal.

INGREDIENT OPTIONS:

MILK – Any milk can be used, whole milk will make for a creamier smoothie. Coconut, soy or almond milks work well too.

BERRIES – Other frozen berries such as raspberries, blackberries or strawberries can be used instead of blueberries.

YOGURT – Flavored sweet yogurt can be used. Or, vegan yogurt can be used a s a substitute.

SMOOTHIE STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use within 1-2 days.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • cup dry oats rolled or quick oats work
  • ½ cup milk*
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional - 1 tablespoon sweetener honey, maple syrup or sugar

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  • Pour the blended smoothie into glass, enjoy!

Notes
