Healthy Spinach Salad With Strawberries

Fresh salads are one of my favorite things about Spring and Summer. All the great produce options make epic salads possible.

This spinach and strawberry salad is loaded with clean, natural ingredients. The combination of salty and sweet is perfectly balanced. Just in time for strawberry season, be sure to stop by your local strawberry patch.

I use a blend of spinach and mixed salad greens because that is my preference. All spinach is a bit much for my tastes. Use all spinach, all salad greens or a combo…whatever you prefer.

Is Balsamic Dressing Healthy

This balsamic vinaigrette dressing is healthy. Made with just 4 ingredients; this dressing is quick, easy and doesn’t have any weird preservatives in it like store bought dressings.

Can This Salad Be Made Vegan

Yes, just omit the cheese and this salad is vegan friendly. There are also vegan cheese options available at grocery stores now, feel free to try that.

This could be a light summer meal all on its own. But this salad goes great with most proteins. Here are a few recipe ideas for serving alongside:

Lemon Butter Pan Seared Scallops: These scallops would compliment this salad wonderfully. A fresh and light meal made in about 20 minutes!

Oven Baked Chicken Breast: Spice the chicken breast how you prefer or leave it plain and serve it sliced on top of the spinach salad.

Spinach Garlic Baked Turkey Meatballs: Double up on your spinach with these meatballs served with spinach salad.

Cast Iron Flank Steak: A nice salty steak will be fantastic with the slight sweetness of this salad.

  4. Can you store the dressing at room temperature? If not, the olive oil solidifies.
