Homemade Creamy Mashed Potatoes

I do love my mashed potatoes and these Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes are another great way to enjoy them. The buttermilk adds a slight tang to the potatoes while keeping them super creamy.

  • Yukon Gold Potatoes
  • Garlic
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Buttermilk
  • Salt/Pepper

How To Make Mashed Potatoes

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into even sized chunks. Transfer to large pot, cover with water, add salt to water and bring to a boil. Gently boil until fork tender. Drain and return to pot.
  2. Add garlic then heat potatoes over low to cook off any remaining water. Mash or cream with hand mixer.
  3. Add butter, buttermilk, salt and pepper. Stir and heat until butter is melted and potatoes are to your desired consistency.
  4. Serve topped with butter and sliced green onions or chopped parsley.
