Easy 5 Minute Dessert Dip

I love dessert dips because they are totally easy to whip up and people go crazy for these indulgent treats! This Salted Caramel Pecan Cheesecake Dip is no exception. It couldn’t be a more simple recipe and it was definitely a crowd pleaser.

If you love cheesecake but don’t want the hassle of baking, cheesecake dip is your new go-to dessert. Rich, smooth, and incredibly easy to make, this no-bake treat captures all the classic flavors of cheesecake in a fluffy, scoopable form. Perfect for parties, holidays, or a cozy night in, it pairs beautifully with fruit, cookies, and more.

Cookies or graham crackers are perfect with Salted Caramel Pecan Cheesecake Dip because they taste similar to a cheesecake crust. The dip is great with apples too!

Cheesecake dip is a dessert spread made primarily from cream cheese, sugar, and whipped topping or cream. Unlike traditional cheesecake, there’s no baking involved. The result is a light, airy dip with that signature tangy-sweet cheesecake flavor.
Cheesecake dip is one of those effortless desserts that delivers big on flavor with minimal work. Whether you keep it classic or experiment with fun variations, it’s guaranteed to be a hit wherever you serve it.

Ingredients Needed For Caramel Pecan Dip (screenshot for grocery list)

  • Cream Cheese – softened
  • Marshmallow Creme
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Dulche de Leche or Caramel Sauce
  • Chopped Pecans
  • Milk
  • Maldon Salt Flakes

How Do You Make Cheesecake Dip

  1. Mix cream cheese, marshmallow creme, powdered sugar and dulche de leche until fully combined. Transfer to serving bowl.
  2. Top dip with chopped pecans.
  3. In microwave safe bowl; microwave dulche de leche 10-15 seconds. Stir in milk. Drizzle over dip and pecans.
  4. Sprinkle with salt flakes.
  5. Serve with apples and cookies.

*The milk is necessary to thin the dulce de leche for drizzling. If using a thiner caramel sauce, forego this step.

I used store bought Dulce de Leche for the caramel. I like that it has a thick consistency and strong flavor. You can find this in many stores, sometimes in the Latin section. Or, you can also make it yourself. Here are a few recipes: How To Make Dulce de Leche by Bakers Royale, Stove Top Dulce de Leche or Slow Cooker Dulce de Leche by Crazy For Crust.

Or, you can always use the store bought caramel sauce that you can find in the ice cream sundae section of your grocery store. You will get a much sweeter and more mild caramel flavor though.

Tips for Success

  • Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps
  • Taste and adjust sweetness—some prefer it less sweet
  • Chill before serving for better consistency and flavor
  • Serve cold to maintain structure
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator
  • Best enjoyed within 3–4 days
  • Stir before serving if separation occurs

Best Dippers For Cheesecake Dip

  • Fresh strawberries, apple slices, or bananas
  • Graham crackers or vanilla wafers
  • Pretzels for a sweet-and-salty combo
  • Brownie bites or pound cake cubes

Recipe FAQs

Can I make cheesecake dip ahead of time?

Yes, it actually tastes better after chilling for a few hours, making it perfect for prepping in advance.

How can I make it lighter?

Use reduced-fat cream cheese and Greek yogurt instead of some of the whipped topping.

Can I freeze cheesecake dip?

Freezing is not recommended. The texture can become grainy and watery when thawed.

    1. Dulce de Leche is heated sweet milk that becomes thick and caramelly. You can usually find it in the hispanic section at the grocery store. Or, I got mine at Trader Joe’s.

    2. Look up Sweet Condenced milk Carmalized and you will find an easy way to make your own.
This looks delicious and I can’t wait to try it. I usually make 6-9 different cookie recipes and give them out at Christmas to different people, but this year, I think I am going to make this and give with a few apples, instead.

    3. I put a can of condensed milk in the slow cooker submerged in water for 7 hours. Set it and forget it. Perfect every time. Just make sure there is enough water to keep the can submerged. Don’t lift the lid

  1. This was so fabulous! Made it for our Octoberfest fire pit with friends. Super easy & so good with crisp apple slices. We had it as dessert!

    1. Cookies, graham crackers, pears would probably be tasty too 🙂

    1. I don’t know for sure. It isn’t super thin so it may hold up in log form. That is a super fun new way to serve it 🙂

  5. Can it be made ahead to give as a gift or does it need to be served immediately after making?

    1. This will stay good the refrigerator for a couple days so it all depends when you’d be giving it to the giftee 🙂

  6. I made it.. big hit but it didn’t look like the picture. The consistency was very loose. I used fluff and caramel size you find in ice cream section.

  7. I’m a little late to the party, but I made this dip as a gift to a few friends and got rave reviews. Thanks for sharing!
