Ahhh pumpkin season is upon us. Okay honestly, I am not all about the pumpkin {gasp!}. I know all food bloggers are supposed to get pumpkin crazy starting in September (sometimes even in August). I just don’t get it.

I think the issue is that I am not obsessed with pumpkin spice. A pumpkin spice latte is fine and all, if it’s there I will drink it. But if I have a choice I will order something else.

DO NOT come after me with torches and pitchforks please! I just enjoy savory pumpkin recipes far more than sweet. While I’m getting all of this off my chest. . . I don’t like pumpkin pie either.

Wheeeww. I feel better getting all of that out in the open. Now I can get back to this Savory Pumpkin Hummus Recipe. The hummus is super creamy thanks to the pumpkin puree. And the pumpkin adds a great flavor as well. I spiced it up with a few of my favorites: Cumin, Garlic Powder and Smoked Paprika.

What To Eat With Pumpkin Hummus

This is a great appetizer or snack to serve during all of your holiday feasts and parties in the coming months. It’s about as quick and easy as you can get. You could whip up a batch of this hummus in less than 10 minutes! Serve it with anything you would eat with traditional hummus: crackers, pita, chips, vegetables, bread, etc.

So enjoy your Pumkpin Spice Lattes in the morning then come back for more pumpkin at night with this hummus. Go pumpkin wild if that’s your thing. It is that time of year that a pumpkin obsession is perfectly acceptable.
