Easy Champagne Cocktail
I have to say that my favorite alcohol to drink is Champagne and/or Prosecco. I just love the happy bubbly feeling it brings. Plus it tastes great, especially when you add some fruit.
In this version we are taking inspiration from mojitos (another of my favorite drinks). A blend of mint and lime make these fun festive drinks. I use a drizzle of honey just to lightly sweeten the drink. Feel free to use simple syrup or muddle in straight sugar if you prefer.
Ingredients Needed For Champagne Mojitos (screenshot for grocery list)
- Champagne or Prosecco
- Limes
- Fresh Mint
- Honey (or sugar, simple syrup)
- Pomegranate Seeds (optional)
How To Make Champagne Mojito Cocktails
- Place mint, pomegranate seeds, honey (or sugar) and lime juice into glasses. Muddle with a muddling tool or the end of a wooden spoon works too.
- Fill glass with chilled champagne.
- Garnish with a mint leaf.
Is Prosecco Champagne?
Technically no. Prosecco is Italian while Champagne is French. They are both sparkling white wines. They are interchangeable in my opinion.
However, some believe Champagne to be the classier of the two. I guess that explains why I prefer Prosecco, I’ve never been accused of being classy.
