HOW TO MAKE EGGNOG IN A SLOW COOKER

  • In a medium bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until lightened in color and smooth.
  • Add the egg yolk mixture into your crock pot along with all the other ingredients. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 1 ½-2 hours stirring occasionally making sure it doesn’t get too hot.
  • Remove the lid when the eggnog is done, turn off heat and allow to cool for about 30 minutes.
  • Remove the cloves and cinnamon sticks.
  • Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.

Why Use a Slow Cooker?

Using a slow cooker to make eggnog has several benefits:

  • Hands-off cooking: No need to babysit the stove.
  • Even heating: Reduces the risk of curdling or overcooking.
  • Great for serving: You can keep it on “warm” during a party.

Storage Tips

Store leftover eggnog in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. Shake or stir before serving, as natural separation may occur.

Safety Tip: Because eggnog contains dairy and eggs, don’t leave it out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
