Jello shots are a party necessity. These can be made with or without alcohol so they can be for a kids party or an adult blow-out.

Just some Jello, alcohol and gummy candies are all you need to make these super fun little treats.

Recipe Tips:

  • Use blue gelatin to mimic water.
  • Use juice or alcohol in place of the cold water.
  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled for larger parties.
  • To make “sand”, blend Golden Oreos or Nilla wafers.
  • If not serving shots right away, assemble the bears the day of.
  • Keep chilled until ready to serve.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 ounce Berry Blue Jello mix
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water OR replace with alcohol of choice
  • 5 pieces sour rainbow belts
  • 20 peach gummy rings
  • 20 gummy bears

Instructions

  • Use scissors or a sharp knife to cut the rainbow belts into 1.5 inch strips (or just a little longer than the size of the gummy bear) and set aside.
  • On a large tray or board, line up the jello shot cups.
  • Boil one cup of water on the stovetop or heat it in the microwave using a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup.
  • Use a whisk, stir the package of jello mix into boiling water until dissolved, about 2 minutes.
  • Add one cup cold water (or juice, or alcohol, or a mixture of it) and stir well to combine.
  • Carefully pour the mixture into each of the 20 jello shot cup, about halfway full.
  • Transfer the jello shots into the refrigerator to chill for 3-4 hours, or until fully set.
  • Once set, assemble the cups by putting one gummy bear into a peach ring and placing onto the jello. If using rainbow belts, lay one piece on top of the jello then lay a gummy bear on top.
  • Keep chilled until ready to serve.
