SMOOTHIE BOWL

This is an acai berry version of a smoothie bowl. Full of antioxidants, minerals and fiber. Not to mention how absolutely gorgeous and colorful these bowls are. The perfect start to your day.

WHAT IS ACAI BERRY?

The acai berry is a fruit similar to blueberry, dark purple. It grows on palm trees in the Amazon. Its taste is reminiscent of red fruits and chocolate. The acai berry is known for its high content of antioxidants, vitamin C and minerals.

WHAT IS AN ACAI BOWL MADE OF?

An acai bowl starts with frozen acai berry puree. Blended with additional fruits then topped with more fruits, berries, seeds, granola and more.

WHERE CAN I FIND ACAI PUREE?

Usually you can find the Acai puree in the frozen fruits section of the grocery store or in any health store.

ACAI BOWL RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 2 packets frozen acai berry puree 200g
  • 1 cup frozen mango cubes
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 1 cup almond or coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients into blender.
  • Blend until smooth. ( you will need the stir it one time or 2 to combine all the ingredients.
  • Top with fruit, berries, seeds, coconut, etc.
