Baked Eggnog Donuts

It is that beautiful time of the year when Fall and Winter flavored treats can be enjoyed with a piping hot cup of coffee.  These Baked Eggnog Donuts and a mug of freshly brewed Millstone Coffee is the perfect start to any day.  It would also be an amazing Christmas breakfast!

Baked Donut Recipe

These baked donuts have eggnog in the batter, eggnog in the glaze and are sprinkled with freshly grated nutmeg.  The flavor is not hidden.  These donuts are SCREAMING EGGNOG!  I think Santa would approve.  Too soon?  Nope.

What do you need with these donuts?  Not a glass of eggnog, that’s for sure.  Coffee and Donuts!  You need a hot cup of gourmet coffee!

Baked Eggnog Donuts

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter - softened
  • 1/4 Cup Ultrafine Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Full Fat Eggnog

Glaze

  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Eggnog
  • Fresh Grated Nutmeg optional

Instructions

Donuts

  • Preheat oven to 325°
  • Mix the flour baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and eggnog.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Generously spray donut pan with non stick.
  • Split the batter evenly between the six donut molds. (fill each mold 2/3 full)
  • Bake at 325° for 12-13 minutes.
  • Transfer donuts to cooling rack. Glaze once fully cooled.

Glaze

  • Mix powdered sugar and eggnog until lump-free.
  • Dip donuts into glaze and return to rack.
  • Grate nutmeg over the top.

Notes

Store donuts in refrigerator.

  1. Wow, I’m not sure which one looks the best so the only thing to do is have both! My coffee tastes are exactly the same as yours. 🙂 I haven’t tried this brand so I need to do so. The donuts look delish!

I had question about the coffee. Where are you? Like, im in Mass, but havnt noticed this brand. (And, how do i make donuts without a donut pan?) Thanks.

    1. Unfortunately this brand is no longer available. It was really tasty too! You can make donuts in a muffin tin. It may require a couple extra minutes to cook through 🙂
