SKILLET CHICKEN BREAST
Pan frying chicken breast is awesome for busy nights. It takes just about 10 minutes and you get nice juicy chicken that is browned on the outside.
There are so many ways to cook chicken breast. Pan frying has to be the easiest no-fuss option.
CHICKEN OPTIONS:
This recipe uses boneless, skinless chicken breast. You can use skin-on chicken if you want that crispy skin.
Bone-in chicken takes longer to cook, about twice as long. So you can use bone-in chicken breasts just be sure to cook them longer.
SPICE OPTIONS:
I typically use Cajun or blackening spice mixes which are a combination of thyme, oregano, garlic, onion, paprika and cayenne. Feel. free to use your favorite seasoning blend or just salt.
HOW LONG DOES CHICKEN BREAST TAKE TO PAN FRY?
Boneless skinless chicken breasts will take 4-5 minutes on each side. Bone-in will take twice as long.
Use a meat thermometer and cook your chicken to 165ºF internal temp. Cook time will vary quite a bit depending on thickness and size of the chicken, how cold the chicken is, how hot your pan is, etc. The only way to guarantee perfectly cooked chicken is by using a thermometer.
