Eggnog Flavored Caramel

Eggnog Caramel Sauce
Two of my favorite holiday flavors come together in this Eggnog Caramel Sauce. This easy caramel recipe is made with eggnog. 4 ingredients, less than 10 minutes of cooking time and no thermometer needed!
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 Cup Full Fat Eggnog
- 1/2 Cup Whipping Cream
- 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
Instructions
- Combine eggnog, cream and brown sugar.
- Melt butter in a 2.5 quart pot over medium heat.
- Add eggnog mixture and whisk.
- Allow liquid to lightly boil for 7 minutes. Whisk occasionally during the first 5 minutes. Whisk frequently the last 2 minutes.
- After 7 minutes, remove from heat and whisk vigorously.
- Allow to cool in pot for 5-10 minutes. Whisk then transfer to jar.
- Refrigerate 2+ hours. Stir before serving.
Notes
Makes just over 1 cup of caramel sauce.

This looks freaking delicious Nicole, and I don’t even like eggnog. I have family members who are obsessed though, so I need to make this for them. Seriously, one year my brother went on an “eggnog diet” in college. Lost 7 pounds before the holidays. Gained it all back and then some by drinking eggnog every single day, available through campus vending machines.

Hi Natasha. Unfortunately this caramel doesn’t last for very long. I would recommend it being used within a week. So, maybe not the best for gifts.
