We eat a lot of chicken salad at my house, especially during the summer months. So it is necessary to have lots of different flavor variations to keep it interesting. This Bbq Chicken Salad is one of our favorites because it is simple yet full of bbq flavor.

How To Make Chicken Salad with Rotisserie Chicken

You can most definitely use store bought rotisserie chicken as a shortcut. Not only is it convenient but it is super tender and tasty too. Here is a recipe for Super Easy Rotisserie Chicken Salad.

If not using rotisserie chicken, cook your chicken however you prefer. Here are a few options:

  • Chicken
  • Celery
  • Red Onion
  • Red Pepper
  • Mayonnaise
  • Bbq Sauce
  • Brown Mustard

How Do You Make Barbecue Chicken Salad

  1. Pull the chicken meat from the bones or chop chicken breasts to get approximately 3 cups of chicken meat.
  2. Mix all ingredients and stir until fully combined.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Store and refrigerate in an airtight container.

How Should You Serve Chicken Salad:

In wraps, sandwiches or on a green salad. Chicken salad is also great as a snack with crackers. My favorite is barbecue chicken salad wraps.

  • Cooked Chicken - chopped/shredded approx 3 cups
  • 3 Celery Stalks - chopped/sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Thinly Sliced Red Onion
  • 1 Small Red Pepper - seeded chopped
  • 1/2-3/4 Cup Mayonnaise to preference
  • 5-6 Tablespoons Bbq Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Mustard
  • Salt/Pepper - to taste
  • Fresh Chopped Parsley
