This fun and festive dessert cheese ball will be the star of your 4th of July festivities. A sugar cookie flavored cheese ball coated in patriotic sprinkles and star shaped candies. Top with a sparkler if you really want to be extra.
This cheese ball can be made for any other holiday as well. Just swap out the red and blue sprinkles for different colors.
Be sure to ‘cook’ the cookie mix before adding to cheese ball mixture. This is just a precautionary step to ensure the mixture is safe to consume.
To heat treat the cookie mix, place it in a microwavable bowl and heat in 30 second increments. Stir between each 30 seconds. Heat until it reaches a temperature of 165F. Make sure that you stir every 30 seconds to distribute the heat and avoid burning. Allow to cool completely before using.
Generally this only takes 90-120 seconds of microwaving. But times vary depending on the microwave.
