This holiday cheese ball is a great because it will be a show-stopper but it is so simple to prepare. Make a basic cheese ball, form it into a tree shape then cover with herbs, nuts, olives and pomegranate arils. That’s it.

Ingredient Options:

• Use your preferred nuts – almonds, pecans, pistachios, peanuts, macadamia nuts, etc.
• Instead of the olive on top – cut a star shape out of sliced cheese then attach to top with a toothpick.
• Dried cranberries will work in place of the pomegranate.

This CHRISTMAS TREE CHEESE BALL will be the cutest appetizer on your holiday table. A cheese ball shaped and decorated to look like a Christmas tree.

Ingredients

• 3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
• 2 cups white shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped, divided
• 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped, divided
• ¼ cup sliced pecans and salted peanuts
• 3 tablespoons green olives, optional garnish
• 3 tablespoons pomegranate arils

Instructions

1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, ¼ cup parsley, and 1 tablespoon rosemary. Mix until smooth.
2. Scrape the cheese mixture into the center of a serving platter or cake stand. Shape it into a tree-like cone.
3. Decorate the tree with remaining chopped parsley, rosemary, pecans, peanuts, green olives, and pomegranate arils.
4. Serve immediately with crackers or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
   

Notes

This cheese ball Christmas tree can be made up to 2 days in advance. Wrap the tree in plastic wrap and store it in the fridge. Garnish the tree just before serving.
