I received the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew to facilitate this post.
Homemade frosting is one of those things that is so much better than the store bought variety. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used store bought and I will again. But, I don’t eat store bought frosting by the spoonful like I do with homemade buttercream frosting. <<< Maybe I should add that to the Pro list for store bought frosting! I really shouldn’t be eating spoonfuls of frosting but this Oreo Cookies and Cream Frosting is just so unbelievably good.
This is a recipe for Oreo Cookies and Cream Frosting only. I used box cake mix for the cupcakes and dressed them up with this homemade frosting. I volunteered to make 50 cupcakes for a community barbecue so I needed a shortcut! These Oreo Cupcakes were a huge hit!
While I wasn’t able to attend the community barbecue, I did keep a couple cupcakes for myself. I like to enjoy my sweet treats with a cup of coffee. Luckily Hamilton Beach had just sent their awesome coffee system, the FlexBrew. In fact, Hamilton Beach was generous enough to send me one and send a second to donate to my daughter’s school auction. Every year the school has an auction to raise money for the art and music classes.
The Hamilton Beach 2-Way FlexBrew Coffee Maker offers more brewing options than most coffee makers. This coffee maker can brew a single serve cup (with a K-Cup coffee pack or regular grounds), travel mug size or a 12 cup pot. You can brew regular or bold strength. And it comes equipped with a programmable timer with a 2 hour auto shut-off.
The perfect cup of coffee with the perfect sweet treat. YASSS!

Hello, Is there a substitute for the malted milk powder?
Nicole Harris says
You can just leave out the malted milk powder. It gives it extra flavor but the frosting is good without too.
