Tea Brewed in a Keurig
When I found out that I was receiving a K40 Elite Keurig Brewing System and a variety of Brew Over Ice K-Cups from the Keurig Walmart Team, I was giddy!
I have been wanting a Keurig system for years.
And, the Brew Over Ice K-Cups are perfect for me. Here in Northern California it is warm for most of the year. During the summertime it is down right sweltering! A hot cup of coffee or tea in 100° weather is not happening.
My family and I could not wait to bust open that Keurig box and try it out. I tried the Lemonade, Sweet Tea and Strawberry Pomegranate Brew Over Ice K-Cups. I loved them all! Luckily I can find the Brew Over Ice K-Cups at Walmart when I do run out.
The cold brew drinks were simple to make. Just insert the K-Cup into the Keurig Brew System as usual. Fill a plastic cup with ice and begin the brewing process.
Or brew your drink of choice and make your own unique beverage with fresh herbs, flavored ice cubes, fresh fruit and simple syrup! Strawberry Lemonade and Blueberry Tea with Keurig is perfect for summer!
I created my own Cold Brew Station. This would be perfect for a family barbeque on 4th of July! The Red, White and Blue ice cubes are sure to be a hit!
Set up your Keurig and provide a variety of Brew Over Ice K-Cups. Don’t forget the plastic cups and straws.
Make flavored ice cubes and simple syrup. Fresh fruit and herbs are a great way to add flavor to drinks and they look pretty too. Bonus!
Who wouldn’t want to sip on this gorgeous and refreshing beverage!?!
This Blueberry Sweet Tea will be in my hands all summer long. And my daughter is a big fan of the Strawberry Lemonade . . . she even adds a sprig of thyme to her drink. Fancy!
Simple Syrup:
Bring 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 1-2 minutes or until sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. **Infuse simple syrup with flavor by adding a small amount of fresh herbs while boiling {such as mint or thyme}.**
Flavored Ice:
Puree fresh strawberries. Add a small amount of water to create a liquid consistency {add lemon or lime juice instead of water for extra flavor}. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze for 4+ hours or until solid.
Or, fill ice cube molds 3/4 with water. Add fresh blueberries or fruit of choice. Feel free to add fresh lemon zest or juice too.
The flavor combinations are endless. Use your imagination to create your own unique summer drink!
Try this Lemonade/Tea Flavor Station at your next barbeque. It is much more fun than the usual ice chest filled with sodas!
CHEERS!

I have had my Keurig(s) for a while but I still have a hard time deciding what to brew. I don’t drink coffee, but the other half does, so we have a large range of K-Cups on hand at all times! #Client
