Rose Scented DIY Body Scrub Recipe. This homemade sugar scrub has a delicate rose smell and real rose petals. The perfect gift for Mom. Or give the wife a luxurious spa day at home!
I haven’t posted a DIY Body Scrub in quite a while. I don’t really know why. Homemade Sugar Scrubs are super easy to whip up. They make the perfect gift for loved ones. Or make a batch for yourself and enjoy an at home spa day!
The best part about making scrubs at home is that the possibilities are endless. Get the essential oil to create the scent that you want. Then it is just mixing salt or sugar with your preferred oil.
I get most of my product through Mountain Rose Herbs because they have quality ingredients that do not cost eleventy-million dollars and your first born child.

Rose Scented DIY Body Scrub
3/4 Cup White Sugar
2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil – melted (unrefined will have a light coconut scent)
2 Tablespoons Grape Seed Oil
2 teaspoons Crushed Dried Rose Petals*
5-10 Drops Rose Essential Oil – to desired aroma
- Mix the sugar and oils together with a fork or spoon.
- Add the dried rose petals and gently mix.
- Transfer mixture to a Glass Jar.
*I placed fresh rose petals in a warm area until dried. It takes about 2 days. (rose petals are optional)

Wow it looks amazing – great recipe :-)) how long will it keep in a jar?
Nicole Harris says
As long as it is kept clean and dry it should last a minimum of 3 months. I’ve used mine for 6 months before.
