These sliders are great for an easy family dinner, game days, parties and barbecues.
INGREDIENT OPTIONS:
- Use your favorite hot dogs. I love the Costco beef hotdogs. Grill or fry hotdogs in a skillet for best results.
- Make your own chili instead of using canned. Here are some recipes: Wendy’s Chili – No Beans Chili

CHILI DOG SLIDERS
These CHILI DOG SLIDERS are a great way to prepare chili cheese hot dogs to serve a crowd or your hungry family for an easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 package of 12 King's Hawaiian Original Rolls
- 15 oz can of chili (or 2 cups homemade chili)
- 6 hot dogs
- 1-½ cups shredded colby jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Poppy seeds for garnishing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- Spray bottom of a large baking sheet or 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cook hot dogs according to package instructions. When done, cut into ½ inch pieces. (boil, grill or pan fry)
- Using a bread knife, carefully cut the hawaiian rolls into two equal portions, a top and a bottom, by cutting through the center, all the way around. You do not need to break apart the individual rolls. Place bottom portion into baking dish.
- Spread chili over the bottom portion of the rolls.
- Top with hot dog pieces, distributed evenly then layer the cheese. Place top portion of rolls on top.
- In a small mixing bowl, mix together melted butter and seasonings (except for poppy seeds)
- Using a silicone brush, gently brush the mixture over the rolls, coating them heavily and evenly. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese has fully melted. Uncover the last 5 minutes to brown tops of rolls.
