This is The Best Caprese Salad Recipe because it keeps it simple, fresh and easy. Using end of summer tomatoes and basil bring amazing flavor so we are keeping the balsamic dressing to just a few ingredients to highlight the fresh produce and creamy mozzarella.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 Lbs Cherry Tomatoes
  • 12 ounces Fresh Marinated Mozzarella Balls - halved
  • 7-8 Large Fresh Basil Leaves - chopped or ribboned
  • Dressing:
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Garlic Clove - grated
  • Small Pinch Sugar optional
  • Salt/Pepper - to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the larger tomatoes in half, leave the small tomatoes whole. Transfer to large bowl.

  • Combine the tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.

  • Mix dressing ingredients then pour over tomatoes. Gently mix until evenly coated. Serve.
