Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes
These Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes have the great flavors of a cheesesteak in a quick, easy weeknight dinner. Sloppy Joes filled with peppers, onion and melty cheese.
In large pan sauté peppers and onions in oil over medium/high heat until tender. Remove from pan, set aside.
Brown ground beef, season with salt and pepper. Drain if needed.
Return beef, peppers and onion to pan. Add cream cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, water, salt and pepper. Stir and heat over medium until thick and bubbling.
Turn off heat then sprinkle cheese over the top. Stir melty cheese into mixture. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve sloppy joe mixture on toasted hamburger bun. Top with additional shredded cheese.
Notes
This recipe makes enough for 4 overstuffed sloppy joes or 6 small joes.
