Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Sweet Onion - chopped
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 4 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt/Pepper - to taste*
  • Chopped Parsley

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef and onions in large fry pan over medium/high heat. Drain oil and return to pan.
  • Add butter and allow it to melt, stir into beef. Sprinkle flour over the meat and stir to evenly coat. Cook for 3 minutes while stirring.
  • Add broth, garlic powder, Italian season, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
    Bring to gentle boil then reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir occasionally until gravy thickens. (about 5 minutes)
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, pasta or rice.

Notes

*careful with the salt as the beef broth will have salt as well
