Baked Easter Donuts

Make a fun Easter Breakfast for the kiddos before their Easter egg hunt begins.  These Baked Easter Donuts are the perfect treat to start the festivities.

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 3/4 Cup AP Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 5 Tb Milk
  • Tb Butter room temperature

Glaze

  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp Hot Water

Toppings

  • 1 Cup Sweetened Shredded Coconut
  • approx 15 Drops Green Food Color
  • Egg Shaped Easter Candy Robin's Eggs

Instructions

Donuts

  • Preheat oven to 325°
  • Mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  • Using a hand mixer - combine the sugar, egg, Greek yogurt, milk, and butter.
  • Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Generously spray donut pan with non stick.
  • Split the batter evenly between the six donut molds.
  • Bake at 325° for 12-15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 2-3 minutes.
  • Transfer donuts to cooling rack.

Coconut Topping

  • Mix the coconut and food coloring together with a fork. Set aside.

Glaze

  • In a medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar and hot water.
  • Dip the donuts into the glaze then immediately top with shredded coconut.
  • Add the egg shaped candy.
