APPLE DUMP CAKE RECIPE

Making this APPLE DUMP CAKE RECIPE starts with a layer of apple pie filling, which is topped with dry cake mix and apple pie spices, then drizzled with melted butter.  The cake is then baked, all without a mixing bowl in sight!

Ingredients

  • 21 oz. apple pie filling
  • 15 oz. vanilla cake mix
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice divided
  • 3/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°c. Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pour apple pie filling into baking dish. Sprinkle over half of the apple pie spice and stir to combine. Spread the filling evenly over the base of the dish.
  • Sprinkle the vanilla cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling, then evenly sprinkle over the remaining apple pie spice. Drizzle with the melted butter.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until lightly golden and the apple is bubbling. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with vanill aice cream and/or caramel sauce.
