Besides having an Awesome theme song to sing while making this … It is crisp, refreshing and perfect for these Hot summer days.
Of all the frozen treats I’ve made for Brain Freeze Month this is my favorite. Of course, that could be because I’m going on six months alcohol-free and this granita tastes similar to an ice cold, slushy margarita … minus the tequila.
The best part though, is how simple it is to make.
1 cup Limeade
6 Tb ultra-fine Sugar
1 cup Coconut Water
Juice of 2 Limes
(lime zest is optional)
Mix ingredients together and pour into a container (I use an 8×8 inch baking dish). Cover with plastic wrap and place into your freezer.
Stir with a fork every 45 minutes to an hour until there is no longer any liquid. It takes about 4-5 hours depending on freezer temperature and container size.
