I always feel bad for folks that have a birthday around the holidays.  It is so easy to get lost in the holiday shuffle.

My daughter’s birthday is in January.  I am probably the only expectant mom that was okay with delivering her two weeks late.  I just did not want her birthday to fall on the same week as Christmas!

But, her birthday is right after the holidays.  People are done celebrating.  That is why I try to make sure her birthdays are extra special.

What better way to start your birthday than with a Happy Birthday Cake Milkshake and a fun Hallmark Card from Walmart!?!

Yes, you can and Should have a milkshake for breakfast on your birthday!!!

This Happy Birthday Cake Milkshake is quick and easy.  Perfect for starting off that special day!

Serve it up with an adorable Hallmark card for guaranteed Birthday Smiles!

I like to give a second card later with the official birthday cake.  I usually can’t decide between two cards anyway, especially with the huge card selection at Walmart.

So this way I don’t have to choose.

This Birthday Cake Milkshake is so cheerful and fun!  I couldn’t decide if I wanted to use nonpareils {aka Sprinkle Balls} or regular sprinkles.
So of course . . . I used BOTH! {notice a pattern here?}

My daughter loved this Mini Mouse Hallmark Birthday Card.  It comes with stickers inside, her favorite!

You can’t have a party without your friends/cousins!

Birthday Cake Milkshakes + 3 Kiddos = A Little Bit of Mess & Lots of Giggles!

They just love to model for me.  Especially when Milkshakes are involved!

They had a lot of fun and this milkshake is definitely Kid Approved!

Birthday Cake Milkshake
Author: WonkyWonderful
  • Cups Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Cups Milk*
  • 3-4 Tb Dry Yellow Cake Mix to taste
  • 2-3 Tb Multi Colored Sprinkles
  • Whipped Cream
  • Multi Colored Sprinkles & Nonpareils
  1. Blend the vanilla ice cream, milk and cake mix.
  2. Add the sprinkles and pulse 2-3 times.
  3. Pour into glasses; top with whipped cream, sprinkles and nonpareils.
Recipe Notes
*I prefer milkshakes with a thinner consistency. If you like thick milkshakes, decrease this amount of milk.
This recipe makes 2 large milkshakes or 4 small milkshakes.

Walmart has so many Hallmark cards to choose from.  I am the worst when it comes to choosing a card.  I must’ve spent 45 minutes in the Walmart Hallmark Card section!

Finally, after much indecisiveness, I chose the super cute {vintage styled} Mini Mouse card.  I also picked the Chipettes card that comes with an inflatable microphone!  Don’t worry, the card with Alan from The Hangover is not for my daughter . . . her Dad’s birthday is on New Year’s Eve.

  4. I always complain about my birthday being in the summer (people tend to forget about it), but I can only imagine that it’s worse right around the holidays. I’m glad that you’ve dreamt up a recipe for the perfect birthday breakfast treat though! Even if people do forget I think as long as I can drink a milkshake first thing in the morning I’ll be ok haha.

  5. I love the idea of giving 2 cards on a birthday. The Birthday Cake Milkshake sounds amazing by the way! Thanks for sharing. #client
