Instructions
Preheat oven to 300°
Arrange walnuts in an even layer on baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, stirring half way through.
Allow to cool at least 20-30 minutes.
In a large food processor; process walnuts for approximately 4-5 minutes or until it transforms into a smooth nut butter. Stop to scrape sides of the processor during this time as necessary.
Add butter, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, honey and sugar.
Pulse until ingredients are incorporated then STOP. Do Not Over Process!
Transfer to a clean jar or airtight container and store in refrigerator.
Stir before use.
Use within 2 weeks because homemade nut butters do not contain preservatives.
Notes
*Omit butter for a dairy free spread. Yields 1½ cups
