Vanilla Cardamom Coffee Creamer

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 4-5 Whole Cardamom Pods
  • 1 Vanilla Bean Pod - scraped*

Instructions

  • Mix together the milk, cream and sugar.
  • Transfer to a small saucepan.
  • Gently puncture the cardamom pods with the tip of a small knife.
  • Add the cardamom pods and vanilla bean to the cream mixture and heat over medium/low while gently whisking frequently.
  • Heat until steaming and slightly frothy. (15-20 minutes)
  • Remove from heat and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Remove vanilla bean and cardamom pods. If any of the cardamom seeds came out of the pod, remove those too.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate

Notes

*I use a leftover vanilla bean pod for this or scrape the vanilla beans and save for use in another recipe.
