Ingredients

Whole Milk

Heavy Cream

Whole Cardamom Pods

Vanilla Bean Pod - scraped*
Instructions
Mix together the milk, cream and sugar.
Transfer to a small saucepan.
Gently puncture the cardamom pods with the tip of a small knife.
Add the cardamom pods and vanilla bean to the cream mixture and heat over medium/low while gently whisking frequently.
Heat until steaming and slightly frothy. (15-20 minutes)
Remove from heat and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
Remove vanilla bean and cardamom pods. If any of the cardamom seeds came out of the pod, remove those too.
Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate
Notes
*I use a leftover vanilla bean pod for this or scrape the vanilla beans and save for use in another recipe.
