3cupsmedium grain sticky rice or sushi ricecooked according to package
1.7ouncefurikake rice seasoning*
Instructions
Heat a large nonstick skillet on the stovetop over medium heat.
Slice the Spam into 8 even slices.
Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
Coat the spam in the marinade. Pour it over the spam or soak the spam pieces in the bowl with the sauce.
Place the Spam slices into the hot skillet in an even layer and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until it reaches the desired crispiness.
To assemble: Take one strip of nori and place it on a cutting board or parchment paper.
Place the musubi mold in the center and fill it with rice. I use approximately 3 spoonfuls.
Sprinkle on the furikake rice seasoning.
Top with a slice of cooked Spam.
Put the top of the musubi mold on, press down firmly to help the rice stick together.
Remove the mold then wrap the nori around the rice and Spam. You can dab the edges with a little water to help it stick together if needed. Repeat with the remaining Spam.
Serve as is or with a side of sriracha, teriyaki sauce, or dip.
