All-Purpose Flour

Baking Powder

Salt

Butter - softened

Sugar

Large Eggs
▢
1/3
Cup
Blood Orange Juice
about 1½ oranges

Cup
Whole Milk
▢
Zest of 1 Blood Orange
Glaze
▢

Cup
Powdered Sugar
▢

Tablespoons
Blood Orange Juice
▢
Zest of 1 Blood Orange
Instructions
Cake
Preheat oven to 350°F
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Cream butter and sugar.
Mix in eggs, milk and juice.
Slowly mix in dry ingredients.
Stir in zest.
Spread batter evenly into a round 8x2 inch cake pan that has been sprayed with nonstick.
Bake on center rack for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick can be inserted and removed clean.
Remove from oven. Carefully remove cake from pan and allow to cool on racks.
Glaze
Thoroughly mix glaze ingredients until smooth.
Pour on top of cooled cake and spread to the edges.
