This Crockpot Turkey Breast Recipe is a no-fuss space saving way to cook Thanksgiving turkey for a small feast or to have extra turkey for a large crowd. Cooking a turkey breast in a slow cooker is a set it and forget it holiday dish.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 Lb Bone-In Turkey Breast
  • 1 Onion - sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter - softened
  • 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • Fresh Thyme
  • Fresh Rosemary

Instructions

  • Place sliced onions on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Mix butter, poultry season, salt and pepper. Slather under the turkey skin as well as on top.
  • Generously salt then place fresh herbs around the turkey breast.
  • Slow cook on low for 5-6 hours. Check the internal temp after 5 hours. Cook longer if needed to reach 165ºF internal temp.
  • Transfer turkey breast to roasting dish. Broil on high 4-5 minutes to brown the skin. Keep a close watch to prevent a burnt turkey.
  • Let sit 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
