CROCKPOT LITTLE SMOKIES
Make these Crockpot Little Smokies as a super easy appetizer for holidays, parties or game day. Brown Sugar Bbq Little Smokies cooked right in your slow cooker.
Combine the little smokies, bbq sauce and brown sugar in a slow cooker. Cook for 2 hours on low, or until warmed through. If the sauce becomes too thick while cooking, add a small splash of water to prevent the sauce from scorching.
Serve garnished with fresh parsley or sliced green onion.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
Notes
OPTIONAL UPGRADES:For a spicy appetizer, add 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes or 2 teaspoons hot sauce. For honey BBQ little smokies, reduce the light brown sugar to ¼ cup and add ¼ cup honey. For a meatier flavor, wrap the little smokies in thin cut bacon and secure them with a toothpick– then cook as directed.
