CRESCENT ROLL CHEESE DANISH RECIPE
Do you want to make an amazing breakfast pastry without all the fuss? This Honey Nut Cream Cheese Danish Recipe is unbelievably simple. Use crescent rolls as a shortcut then fill with orange infused cream cheese, top with honeyed walnuts and pistachios. A cheese danish with flavors inspired by baklava!
Remove rolls from can. Connect 2 crescent to create a rectangle. Gently stretch rectangle as long as possible without ripping. Twist each end opposite directions to for a long corkscrew shape. Spiral into a circular shape then hollow out a well in the middle to hold the filling. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with buttered parchment paper.
Mix cream cheese, orange zest and 1 tb Honey until smooth. Fill danish with cream cheese mixture.
Mix walnuts, pistachios, 1/4 Tb melted butter and 1 tb Honey. Top filled danish with nut mixture. Brush danish with remaining melted butter.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Top with orange zest, flaked sea salt and additional honey. Serve.
