Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound boneless sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 onion diced
  • 9 brioche slider buns
  • 12 pack of Gouda slices

Instructions

  • Trim fat off the steak as needed. Put one tbsp of oil on one side of the steak, rub all over. Repeat with the other tbsp of oil on the other side. Sprinkle all over with salt and pepper and rub in as well. Set aside.
  • In a large sauce pan add in the stick of butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, honey Dijon, and the seasonings. Melt over a low heat and stir until combined. Once melted add about 1/4 cup of the sauce to a small bowl and set aside.
  • Add the diced onions and cook for 2-3 mins. Next add the rest of the sauce to a larger bowl and set aside. Cook the steaks to your liking, either in a pan or on the grill. (pan-fry on high for 2-3 minutes on each side) Set aside and baste with the sauce on each side. Let rest for 10 minutes. Slice into thin slices. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice or separate the slider buns and lay on the parchment paper. Add the cheese to the bottom of the buns. Add steak slices on top of cheese, stack the steak up on each one evenly.
  • Add another slice of cheese (in half, making an x.) on top of the steak. Add a spoonful of the sauce from the big bowl on top of cheese. Top with the top buns. Use a baster to baste the sauce from the small bowl all on top of the top buns.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven under the broiler for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese melts.
