Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
Spray bottom of a large baking sheet or 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Cook hot dogs according to package instructions. When done, cut into ½ inch pieces. (boil, grill or pan fry)
Using a bread knife, carefully cut the hawaiian rolls into two equal portions, a top and a bottom, by cutting through the center, all the way around. You do not need to break apart the individual rolls. Place bottom portion into baking dish.
Spread chili over the bottom portion of the rolls.
Top with hot dog pieces, distributed evenly then layer the cheese. Place top portion of rolls on top.
In a small mixing bowl, mix together melted butter and seasonings (except for poppy seeds)
Using a silicone brush, gently brush the mixture over the rolls, coating them heavily and evenly. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the top.
Cover with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese has fully melted. Uncover the last 5 minutes to brown tops of rolls.
