Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Sweet White Onions (sliced)
  • 2 Tablespoons Avocado Oil
  • Generous Sprinkle Sea Salt

Instructions

  • In large saute pan over medium heat, combine onions and oil.
  • Cook and stir frequently for 40-50 minutes. Stir every 4-5 minutes in the beginning and more frequently towards the end to prevent burning.
  • If the onions begin to darken too much at any time, adjust heat to a lower temp. Cooking time and heat may vary depending on type of pan and stove.
  • Sprinkle with salt when the onions are almost done and are reaching a deep brown color.
  • Once onions have reached the desired color, remove from heat and refrigerate in an airtight container.
