Ingredients

  • 1 LB Sweet Italian Pork Sausage Links
  • 2 Gala Apples - cored sliced to ½ inch thickness
  • ½ Small Red Cabbage - sliced
  • ½ Red Onion - thinly sliced
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt/Pepper

Sauce

  • ½ Cup Apple Butter or Apple Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Prepared Horseradish
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • ¼ Cup Apple Cider

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Generously drizzle 9x13 baking dish with olive oil.
  • Layer apples, cabbage and onions. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange sausages on top. Coat sausages with olive oil.
  • Cover baking dish with tin-foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Stir apple cabbage mixture. Flip sausages, remove foil and bake 30 minutes.
  • Mix sauce ingredients.
  • Evenly coat apples, cabbage and sausage with sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. (tip: for glossy sausages, brush with olive oil the last 5 minutes of baking)
  • Serve.

Notes

If using precooked sausage - start everything but the sausage baking then add the sausage half way through cook time.
