Easy 5 Minute Dessert Dip Recipe
I love dessert dips because they are totally easy to whip up and people go crazy for these indulgent treats! This Salted Caramel Pecan Cheesecake Dip is no exception. It couldn’t be a more simple recipe and it was definitely a crowd pleaser.
Cookies or graham crackers are perfect with Salted Caramel Pecan Cheesecake Dip because they taste similar to a cheesecake crust. The dip is great with apples too!
I used store bought Dulce de Leche for the caramel. I like that it has a thick consistency and strong flavor. You can find this in many stores, sometimes in the Latin section. Or, you can also make it yourself. Here are a few recipes: How To Make Dulce de Leche by Bakers Royale, Stove Top Dulce de Leche by Smitten Kitchen or Slow Cooker Dulce de Leche by Crazy For Crust.
Or, you can always use the store bought caramel sauce that you can find in the ice cream sundae section of your grocery store. You will get a much sweeter and more mild caramel flavor though.

What is “DULCHE DE LECHE ‘ ?
Dulce de Leche is heated sweet milk that becomes thick and caramelly. You can usually find it in the hispanic section at the grocery store. Or, I got mine at Trader Joe’s.
Look up Sweet Condenced milk Carmalized and you will find an easy way to make your own.
This looks delicious and I can’t wait to try it. I usually make 6-9 different cookie recipes and give them out at Christmas to different people, but this year, I think I am going to make this and give with a few apples, instead.
What a great idea for a homemade gift!
I put a can of condensed milk in the slow cooker submerged in water for 7 hours. Set it and forget it. Perfect every time. Just make sure there is enough water to keep the can submerged. Donβt lift the lid
Is this dip served cold or warmed up?
This is served cold. Enjoy π
Can you make dip ahead and add topping before serving?
Absolutely! Enjoy π

Can this dip be made without marshmallow Creme?? Can you substitute it with anything else?
I’m not sure what else would work besides marshmallow creme. Maybe frosting?
Hey there! Could I use plain old salt or Himalayan Pink Salt for instead of the flakes? Or maybe something else?
Himalayan salt would work terrific π
I made this and it was delicious. My family loved it. Thank you for sharing.
Always a hit at my house too. Happy New Year!
What else can you to dip into it beside apples?
Cookies, graham crackers, pears would probably be tasty too π
Would this work if we made a log out of it?
I don’t know for sure. It isn’t super thin so it may hold up in log form. That is a super fun new way to serve it π
Can it be made ahead to give as a gift or does it need to be served immediately after making?
This will stay good the refrigerator for a couple days so it all depends when you’d be giving it to the giftee π
I made it.. big hit but it didnβt look like the picture. The consistency was very loose. I used fluff and caramel size you find in ice cream section.
Can you use Caramel syrup that you use on ice cream for the dulche de leche?
