Thanks for your feedback, Carol. You prompted me to update my recipe with a bit more info. Brownies continue to cook for a few minutes once removed from the oven so they can easily get slightly overbaked (causing dryness). So I would try removing the brownies about 5 minutes sooner if you decide to give it another try. This is my go-to brownie recipe because I prefer brownies that are not too fudgy or cakey.
