Does the marshmallow gravy “harden” ? I was thinking of serving it in a gravy boat for people to take as much as they want – several of our family don’t eat anything with sugar – bless their hearts!

I have made this three years running, I am now going to do away with the candy yams instead of having two types of dishes with sweet potatoes. My family loved it and called it a keeper!!

In reply to Brittany. I've never tried freezing this. I would make the marshmallow topping the day of, just to be on the safe side. The topping may get a little funky in the freezer.

I’m planning on making this ahead of time and freezing it until thanksgiving, can I put the marshmellow topping on top and then freeze? Or just make the topping the day of?
