Can we use Himalayan pink salt for this scrub? I have some Himalayan bath salt and I’m curious if it can be used instead of sea salt. I’ve read a lot about the benefits of Himalayan salt and recently purchased a Himalayan salt lamp from Ittefaq Salt .

This is great, I am never going to buy any scrub from market anymore. I guess, next time I should try it with olive oil, lets see if my experiment will work or not.

You can really use any type of nut, seed or vegetable based oil that you like: olive oil, jojoba oil, almond oil. Different oils have different viscosities (thickness), which makes the oil feel different on your skin.

Salt scrub is best not used on the face or on sensitive skin. The longer dead skin cells remain on the surface of the skin, the thicker they become making skin look dull and dry. Salt scrubs can cause scarring by creating micro tears in the skin. When overused, they can leave skin dry and irritated.

Amazing homemade recipe! I would certainly try it. Although I have tried Himalayan salt scrub from saltean that is proved to be very effective for my broken skin.Thanks for sharing it 🙂

I have struggled with my old crusty feet for years. My kids joke about my feet. They get caught in my socks. I was embarrassed to wear sandles or try them on in public. One time of using this scrub and I am hook, line and sinker in. I love my feet. I still have a way to go but they are 1000% better. I LOVE it!!!
