Hundreds of dollars for a box of Twinkies? Really People. Really?
I was always more of an Orange Cream Cupcake girl. So I was more bummed about the loss of my favorite cupcakes. Not bummed enough to spend hundreds of dollars.
But that brief time that Hostess products were not available is why this Orange Cream Cupcake Milkshake recipe came about.
Start with the basic milkshake base of vanilla ice cream and milk. Add Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix and Orange Flavoring. Then sit back and enjoy your liquified Orange Cream Cupcake!

- 2 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 Tb Yellow Cake Mix Powder
- 1/4 tsp Orange Flavoring*
- 1 Cup Milk
- Blend all ingredients together.
- Serve topped with whipped cream.

Well, luckily the Hostess Cupcake shortage didn’t last long. Although you can now buy a box of Twinkies or cupcakes at your local grocery store. This Orange Cream Cupcake Milkshake is still a delicious dessert idea!
